Pre- & Post-Care InstructionsTo ensure a safe and effective experience, please follow these care guidelines before and after your treatment.
PRE-TREATMENT CARE (5 Days Before)
1. Discontinue Use of Active Ingredients: Avoid products containing retinol, Retin-A, AHAs, BHAs (salicylic, glycolic, lactic acid), benzoyl peroxide, or other exfoliants for at least 7 days before treatment to prevent over-sensitization.
2. Avoid Waxing, Threading, or Laser Treatments: Do not wax, thread, use depilatory creams, or undergo laser treatments on the face at least 7 days prior, as these can make skin more sensitive to the peel.
3. No Recent Sun Exposure or Tanning: Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for a minimum of 48 hours before your appointment. Sunburned or recently tanned skin cannot be treated.
4. Pause Exfoliating or Scrubbing: Avoid using physical exfoliants (scrubs, brushes, microdermabrasion tools) 5 days before your appointment.
5. Let Your Esthetician Know About:
Any medications (especially antibiotics, acne, or photosensitizing meds)
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Any history of cold sores or skin sensitivities
POST-TREATMENT CARE (First 3–5 Days After)
1. Expect Mild Redness or Tingling: Your skin may feel warm or appear slightly pink right after treatment—this is normal and usually fades within a few hours.
2. Moisturize, Don’t Exfoliate: Avoid any exfoliation (physical or chemical) for at least 7 days post-treatment. Let your skin heal naturally. Keep it hydrated with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer.
3. Use Sunscreen Daily: Your skin will be more sensitive to UV rays. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day, and avoid direct sun exposure for at least 5–7 days post-treatment.
4. Avoid Heat & Sweating for 5 days: No hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or intense workouts for the first 24–48 hours, as heat can cause irritation or prolong redness.
5. Skip Makeup for 5-7 days: Give your skin time to recover and breathe. If needed, use only non-comedogenic, lightweight makeup.
6. Avoid Harsh Products: Avoid active skincare ingredients such as retinol, acids, vitamin C, acne treatments, and scrubs until your esthetician clears you to resume
.
7. Don’t Pick or Peel Flaking Skin: If mild flaking or peeling occurs, do not pick or exfoliate. This is part of the natural renewal process and will resolve on its own.
8. Hydrate Inside & Out: Drink plenty of water and use a hydrating serum or gel-based moisturizer to support skin recovery.
When to Book Your Next Treatment
