Pre & Post Skin Lightening Care

ree

Pre-Care for Bryght Skin Lightening Treatment:

1. It is recommended to be hair free.

You may add a wax service at the time of booking if you’d like. It does make the treatment more effective during the skin lightening process.

2. Stop Using Deodorants or Antiperspirants (24 hours before)

• These can clog pores or cause sensitivity during the treatment.

• Wash the area with a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser instead.

3. Exfoliate Gently (48 hours before)

• Use a mild exfoliator (e.g., sugar scrub or enzyme-based) to remove dead skin cells.

• Avoid harsh scrubs, acids (AHAs/BHAs), or retinoids in the underarm area.

4. Stay Out of the Sun

• Avoid sun exposure or tanning of your underarms for at least 3–5 days before treatment.

• UV exposure can sensitize the skin and reduce treatment effectiveness.

5. Stay Hydrated and Moisturize

• Keep the skin moisturized with a fragrance-free lotion up to the day before treatment.

• Avoid applying anything on the day of the treatment unless advised otherwise.

6. Avoid Using Any Active Ingredients

• Discontinue use of any retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone, or other actives in your underarm routine at least 5–7 days prior.

• These can cause irritation when combined with the lightening agents in Bryght.

7. Inform the Esthetician

• Let your esthetician know if you:

• Have sensitive skin or allergies.

• Recently had laser hair removal or a chemical peel.

• Are using any medications or have skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis.

Post-Care for Bryght Underarm Skin Lightening Treatment

1. Avoid Heat, Friction, and Sweating (24–48 hours)

• No hot showers, baths, saunas, steam rooms, or intense workouts that cause sweating.

• Heat and friction can irritate freshly treated skin.

2. Skip Deodorant and Antiperspirants (24–48 hours)

• These can sting or clog pores after treatment.

• If odor is a concern, use natural alternatives like witch hazel or aloe vera, if skin allows.

3. Avoid Hair Removal (at least 3–5 days)

• No shaving, waxing, or plucking — let the skin fully recover.

• Hair removal too soon can cause irritation or undo the treatment’s benefits.

4. No Active Ingredients (5–7 days)

• Avoid skincare products with AHAs, BHAs, retinoids, hydroquinone, or alcohol in the treated area.

• These can cause peeling, redness, or darkening when the skin is still healing.

5. Keep Skin Cool and Calm

• If there’s redness or sensitivity, apply cold compresses or a fragrance-free, soothing gel like aloe vera or calendula.

• Avoid scratching, rubbing, or tight clothing on the area.

6. Hydrate & Moisturize

• Apply a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizer or Bryght Treat Gel (if using the full system) as directed.

• Keeping the area hydrated supports skin regeneration and helps maintain results.

7. No Sun Exposure or Tanning (at least 7 days)

• Keep the underarm area out of the sun or tanning beds.

• If sun exposure is unavoidable (e.g., during sleeveless wear), use physical sun protection like loose clothing.

8. Follow-Up & Maintenance

• Repeat sessions may be needed for deeper pigmentation.

• Follow any specific instructions from your esthetician or the Bryght product packaging for at-home use.

• Results typically appear gradually over multiple treatments.

Watch For:

• Irritation, burning, or rash: Mild redness is normal for a few hours. Persistent discomfort may mean sensitivity — discontinue use and consult a professional.

• Pigmentation changes: If you see increased darkness or blotchiness, pause use and check with your esthetician or dermatologist.
